Paul Newman 1925-2008

Rest in peace, we will miss you. You have not only been a screen legend but a caring humanitarian. A class act.

Oh, I am shocked! I hadn't heard this sad news. He was a wonderful humanitarian as well as a fabulous actor. Sad news, indeed.

I can't believe we lost him. I am sad beyond words right now. What a GREAT man and actor he was. The world will be much less without him.

I really liked him as well.
On CNN they quoted him as saying (When asked why he remained faithful to Joanna Woodward all these years...) "Why go out for hamburger, when I have steak at home?"
Now that is the measure of a real man. Someone who values women. xoxo Damn fine actor too.

So shocked. I only heard later this afternoon. Somehow, I think I thought he was going to live forever.
That's a real man. How many men in Hollywood stay married that long! Sure, it was his second marriage...but not all of us get it right the first time.

He was one of a kind, as an actor and as a man and human rights activist. So sad to see him go. xoxox
