Amazing artist.

I no longer post pictures of my children in a public blog. I now post pictures from behind or side, where their faces are not discernable. I am breaking the rule here because I am just in awe over Maia's portrait of my son. This is the work in progress, not the finished product, but it is amazing in its accuracy. She is a gifted illustrator, one of her many talents. Here is the website of some of her work: Verlicht Studio.

Hands are one of the hardest things to draw and she just did it so well.

Hi you have a very cool blog!! Thanks for visiting mine and for your nice comments about my daughter and me. Posh Spice - that's a new one!

I got the (faux) vintage Chinese print at this site:

Very reasonable, too. It cost $12. They have a huge selection. Happy shopping!

Such a gentle tenderness Maia has captured in this drawing. Something you will always treasure. Somehow art captures the soul and essence of a person in a special way. Different than photography.

Happy Weekend Yoli!

oooh, I wonder if the drawing is ready now?

On the not posting pics of our children.....you know I do the same. At the same time, I question that decision. Really I do. What am I saying might happen? The thing that I am most afraid of is that the pictures wind up on sites that are of a certain kind. But it is such, such a pity. Hmmm...complicated. Is the world such a scary place?
