Finished re-reading a classic

I am impressed you reread this book.
I was forced to do it in highschool
and hated it....
maybe it's good now?

Ah, yes. I remember it well. The beginning of my long and unseemly romance with dysfunctional relationships. I don't know how I ever survived Austen and Fitzgerald and lived on to establish a good, solid marriage!
Literature is a wonderful thing, when used wisely and with caution ;)

Never mind the book, after seeing the ravenous look in Ralph Fiennes eyes on that poster, I'm going to have to rent the movie!

My favorite version was always the one with Lawrence Olivier and the gorgeous Merle Oberon. Just hearing the film score would break my heart.

This is one of my all time favorite films. The scene where Catherine is up in the window looking out on the moor is breathtaking. Juliette Binoche's monologue is fabulous! Sigh.

I have not seen the film but as "quiqui's parents" so sagely reminded me that the beloved books of my youth were built upon the romance as heartache theme. i also wonder that i have managed a long and happy marriage :) i must say though i would love to see this film and perhaps even read the book again...who knows what may be awakened in the the depths of my heart.. how did it affect you dear yoli?

Wuthering Heights for me was such a tough read, I don't know if I could do it again. I enjoyed the story though. I thought I would name my firstborn Katherine as a result! (I didn't)
