Possibilities abound when a New Year is dawning...

I think I don't regret a single 'excess' of my responsive youth-I only regret, in my chilled age, certain occasions and possibilities I didn't embrace.

Henry James

You and I are essentially infinite choice-makers. In every moment of our existence, we are in that field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choices.

Deepak Chopra

I have no new year's resolutions, since they always fall by the wayside the second week of January. Instead, I will take each day as it comes and do my best to be in the moment. I am going back to work and I have a project that seems right now too large and distant but this time around, I will not obcess over it. I don't want to call this new mindset a resolution, I don't want to jinx it. Happy New Year to all of you, my kind readers who kindly take the time to come by and leave a comment.

Happy New Year Yoli!!
I like remembering what Deepak says about we have the power to make choices. That is the thing that makes humans different than any other creature!

So truly happy we met.
You are a star.
May all of your dreams come true this year!

Good luck on your project!!
I know you will pull it off with grace!

I also don't make resolutions. But I am an eternal optimist, and, this year more than ever (with a happy child in our midst) the New Year brings with it a sense of expectation and vast possibility. May yours be full of joy.

I'll join you on that resolution thing. It almost never happens..esp when its the same resolution about losing weight..the same since 10 years ago haha..

Here's wishing you a great new year and may 2009 brings you lots of happiness and joy :D

Love the Henry James. And your new header is ever so intriguing! The shadow boxes with the keys are so very thought provoking.

Happy New Year to you and yours, Yoli.

I agree with you on New Year resolutions. I grew up without them and now I feel fortunate that I don't have to live up to the expectations I set to myself at the beginning of the year.

Happy New Year!

Greetings from London.

What perfect thoughts to start the new year with. Yoli, you are one of my gifts that 2008 brought to me.

I wish you and your beautiful family a magical year ahead. Happy new year!

I'm with you on the no resolutions - one can't possibly know what the future has in store - and resolutions are far too concrete! Better to live in the moment and be ALIVE. Good luck returning to work and on your new project!
You're a gem.

Dear Sister Yoli,

I affirm the tender and powerful light that burns in you,

May your grace touch the hearts of all those you meet

and may you find time for yourself,

to replenish, to rejuvinate, to remember that you alone
are always
enough.

With deep love, Maithri

yoli sweetie one day at a time is all there is anyway. i was afraid to make my own new years "list" but i decided to put things on it that i really wanted to do and thought a little structure (god i need lists but for some reason cannot seem to get myself to use them anymore) might help me to get a grip on my life. and...i am paying attention to that henry james quote.
have a good weekend. i look forward to hearing more about your return to the work world and what that is like for you. i hope it is a positive change.

xoxox love you!
