I have had Henry V's prologue in my head all day. Just when I think I have left the theatre behind (majored in Theatre) it hits me that it is always with me. I am missing the lights, the costumes, the smell of backstage, that camaraderie. The pranks. I am missing my friend Michelle, an exquisitely intuitive actress. What she could do with only one look. I miss being young together and having to memorize Shakespeare's words. It was about the art, we were so innocent.
So please turn off my music and enjoy one of my favorite prologues by the bard.

Sir Derek Jacobi is marvelous as always! My favorite role was when he played Claudius in the 1976 BBC production. Though if you can find it, I still think Sir John Gielgud in Peter Greenaway's Prospero's Books is most stirring.
I adore this intro to Henry V!! Sir Derek always does a marvelous job, doesn't he? I this on DVD and it is about time to pop it in again.
