Real life isn't always going to be perfect or go our way, but the recurring acknowledgement of what is working in our lives can help us not only to survive but surmount our difficulties.
So true, Yoli. I read Sara Ban Breathnach's "Simple Abundance" in 1996 and her words continue to inspire me. Just for fun here is her March 22 entry under the title, "Why Self-Confidence Can't Be Bought but Can Be Borrowed" she writes,
"When you're unsure of yourself but life requires you to be otherwise, it is comforting to remember that you can always borrow a self-confident attitude from your authentic self. She knows how terrific you are and can give you that little boost, which is all you really need...that's why creative visualization works."
Sara B. is wise in many ways...I completely agree with the appreciation sentiment. I posted at Oasis a similar idea about appreciation...but one about showing and giving appreciation through hugs...come over and see my sweet daughter's photo...she's almost a woman now. You have such an artistic eye, Yoli...beautiful photo...intense green...<3

Popping in from tango baby's site

Quite right and a very apposite quote. Sometimes too much focus on what we cannot change can divert our attention from enjoying what have.
Greetings from LOndon.
