It is raining so hard outside. I love days like these, wet full of the sound of nature. My parrots are vocalizing like crazy; some in their own voices and some in the voices of other birds. I love my vocal chameleons.
I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright. ~Henry David Thoreau
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.
~George Gordon, Lord Byron, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage

The picture is incredible.
How beautiful the bird is.

I too am loving the wet weather... we are getting some big storms... my grass is looking it's best...
As for birds... I am SO in love with my little Barack... he had a shower tonight... what a trip that is :)
I remember when I arrived in Britain people used to ask me if I missed the warm Cuban weather. And I used to reply that I did but that I didn't mind the rain or the snow (very little if any) or the fog. I like different seasons and I love rain. It's raining all over London today and I walked to come to work with my earphones on and a CD I made of tunes composed or performed by women. Believe me, there's nothing more beautiful than listening to Alice Coltrane whilst walking in the rain. Many thanks for that fantastic picture.
Greetings from London.
The photo is exquisite! Nature is SO amazing. So much peace, so many lessons of life it can teach us. Before and after my father died I hung out in the garden learning so much!
Is THIS your pretty parrot Yoli?

Great picture. Love the colors. I would spent ages looking at those parrots
I've never seen a parrot up close and I didn't realize that they have intricate feathers. And those tiny black and isolated feathes on its face are just gorgeous.
Vocal chameleons - i love that!
I miss the Florida rains so much!!! It rarely rains here. That photo is amazing. Reminds me of Parrot Jungle!
I leave in one week - I'm so excited. I'll email you...
I love not man the less, but nature more.
Says it all for me.
I love rain, and we've had lots of it recently. So soothing. I laugh at my husband sometimes because he loves the rain so much that when we have one of the multi-week runs of sunshine that are typical where I live, he'll sometimes pull the blinds down during the day so he can pretend it's a gray day.
The photo is amazing.
