Taiyuan

It is also known as the ''City of the Dragon''. Founded about 2,500 years ago, Taiyuan participated in the turbulent cycles of many Chinese dynasties. In the Ming and Qing dynasties particularly, Taiyuan was an important center of trade and industry.

Somewhere in this city is my daughter going about her daily routine. Too young to realize that her life will soon change.

Sometimes, when one person is missing, the whole world seems depopulated. ~Lamartine

All days are nights to see till I see thee,
And nights bright days when dreams do show thee to me.
~William Shakespeare, "Sonnet XLIII"

What a wonderful post! So great that you have this knowledge of your child - how exciting! The Lamartine quote is exactly how I feel too.

When do you actually go to receive her? How do you sleep at night with that kind of excitement?

I know exactly how you feel my friend. Wish we could sit together over a glass of wine and just look at our daughters photos.
