Astonishing images of Ibaraki’s really big Buddha at the wonderful blog of Tokyo Times
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. ~BuddhaBetter than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace. ~Buddha
Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike; each has their suffering. Some suffer too much, others too little. ~Buddha

Yoli, you have such a lovely gift for finding the images that reflect little pieces of our inner selves. I love looking at your blog, to find what may be looking back at me.

Amazing photographs! Indeed, we should have compassion for all beings.
It is quite an unbelievable image. Many thanks.
Greetings from London.
Wonderful post Yoli.

love all the images you put together on your blog, the quotes definitely strike a chord with me.
I understand that the Buddha was opposed to images and that it was only many years after his death that followers started using his image. I'm glad they did, otherwise I might never have been attracted to the teaching, but I like the purity, (or perhaps Puritanism), of a belief system without graven images.
LOVE the Buddha! And his quotes.xoxo
I like the energy around your blog :)
ping! they struck a chord the last two posts. thanks for both.
