This is a time when the modern world makes my blood boil.
We are being bombarded with the news that Haiti's infrastructure is destroyed, that planes cannot land, trucks cannot get in and that communications are non-existent.
So how did hordes of reporters get there? How is it that they can be in touch with the home news media minute-by-minute?
And how come that the Christian Aid workers fled on the first available plane without looking to see if they could hold a hand or dig out a child?
We watch disasters from the comfort of our homes getting the latest news while the catastrophe is happening and people are choking to death in the dust.
Media and save your own skin first, humanity second.
friko - i couldn't agree more with you. and ditto for me about one's blood boiling.
yoli - i missed your wed. post but omigod! that quote about who you can be........!!!!!!!!!!! so simple but what impact! hope lots of people have seen it.
It is unspeakable. There is no way to wrap one's mind around this much loss. For us, being away from home during all of this, it has brought us closer to our love for one another. I was only glad to see that they released a few (very few) of the orphans in need of loving homes. UNspeakable.

It's really painful. People in Haiti who are suffering in pain and are grieving for the loss of their love ones...
We all need to pray together..
Thank you Yoli,
Sending prayers and healing thoughts to our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
