Darkness deserves gratitude. It is the alleluia point at which we learn to understand that all growth does not take place in the sunlight.

Yoli, what a beautiful image - and sentiment. So many people fail to realise this.

I hope your first May weekend is a lovely one - both day and night.

Hugs from your new friend in San Francisco,

♥ Robin ♥

This is a breathtaking image, so apt for the wise quote.

The single wing reminds me of a wonderful children's book (ages 9-12, younger if read-aloud) called the Thief Lord. You can buy a used copy for a penny at Amazon:

Beautiful angel wing paired with John's quote. You are right dear Yoli, it is darkness which make one value light. I am reminded of a time my mom had a serious operation. I was away from my husband with her of 6 months. Soon after, two of my dear friends (who had waited many years to find their partner) were married within 2 weeks of one another. The joy I felt for my friends after making it though the experience with my mom was indescribable joy.

Thinking of you and your flock.
Love,
Constance
