An Entrapment

My love, I have tried with all my being
to grasp a form comparable to thine own,
but nothing seems worthy;

I know now why Shakespeare could not
compare his love to a summer’s day.
It would be a crime to denounce the beauty
of such a creature as thee,
to simply cast away the precision
God had placed in forging you.

Each facet of your being
whether it physical or spiritual
is an ensnarement
from which there is no release.
But I do not wish release.
I wish to stay entrapped forever.
With you for all eternity.
Our hearts, always as one.

Hmmm, a different spin to love using a word that usually has negative connotations.

I can not stop smiling at the picture, it is superb. I heard the song, 'unchain my heart' sung by Ray Charles yesterday and it makes me think of the poem you posted. Once ensnared how ever to go on alone in the same way. Wouldn't it be nice if we could control who we love. Your blog is always full of treasures, thanks for creating such a nice( and meaningful) space.

superb! yes love--giving without limits, giving because we can. Thank you Yoli. Such an inspiration and a way to say thank you for the ones we love and who love us.
