My Etsy Find

I came across this wonderful photographer on Etsy yesterday while in my insomniac wanderings. Her name is Irina Souiki, she is a self-taught artist who picked up her first camera at the age 13. In her shop bio it states:

"Irina's eye is caught by colourful and unique details of her surrounding space that are usually overseen. She holds a soft spot for abandoned places as their decaying beauty is bound to disappear.

Irina has been published in U&I and Photosho Magazines and appeared in radio and television shows in Canada and abroad."

Yes, I especially like the first photograph. For some reason, it brings to mind the idea of escaping a situation, like waiting for news in a hospital. All three photographs can certainly be the setting for a short story, can't they?

really interesting shots. the juxtaposition of forgotten functionality and ruin is great
