The Willow Ball

This year Willow Manor Ball has taken me by surprise. After much arguing back and forth with Gordon Ramsay, I was firm, he will not be taking me to the ball! All the trouble he caused last year, insisting on barging into Willow's kitchen and screaming at the cooks. It was embarrasing. So, I decided to take a more civilized gentleman to the ball. Ramsay, is still leaving me messages pleading (begging) to accompany me. Sigh. Oh well. Now onto me. I have this little perfume that I use every now and then on me and the cats called,"Precieux Nectar" in Mon Precious Nectar Fountain Imperiale. I will dab a little right now before I head out.
I am wearing just one piece of jewelry, on loan from the Elizabeth Taylor estate: La Peregrina. Ramsay insists on purchasing it for me once it goes on auction this December around my birthday. I might allow this to happen and reconsider his offer to the ball next year.
I cannot detract from La Peregrina, so this gorgeous gown from Zuhair Murad's collection will do.
I feel like I am flying on air everytime I enter through the doors of Willow Manor. These humble Alexander McQueen shoes will grace my feet.
No, Anthony you CANNOT go like this to the ball! Honestly, I am beginning to think that Ramsey was the safer choice!
Much better Mr. Bourdain, you clean up so well. I am weak in the knees. I know it is not a tux but it is an improvement. I struggle getting into that Lamborghini Countach of yours but I am feeling generous and nothing can spoil my mood.

See you at the ball!

I'm glad you decided to go understated with those shoes, best not to show off, right?

Oh Yoli, you makes me smile!

I can't help but think you will be the most exotic woman at the ball. Your black lacy mask and winged shoes almost steal the show away from the fabulous necklace.

The Countach... what else is there to say?
(love the dress choice!)

Bourdain vs Ramsay...not an easy choice Yoli...I understand your dilemma. Divine shoes dahhling!

Oh wow Yoli, loved every second of that Getting Ready to go to the Ball post... you look Fabulous!! And smell divine too.
Poor Gordon, he must be gnashing his teeth..

Tres elegant! Everything should turn out wonderfully as long as Bourdain refrains from throwing the souffle at Paula Deen. - Brendan

is it the dress, an illusion or has the woman in that picture had her stomach removed?

Still, nice to meet you

wooo! very nice. Looking forward to meeting your date, also. He's a very funny gent. Oh, and best keep that pretty little bauble tucked into your bodice - my pal Dinosaur Hand has an eye (well, a pinky) for shiny things.

You will look smashing in this ensemble. The shoes are AMAZING! And I absolutely love Anthony Bourdain. He's handsome and a little bit dangerous ; )

Unbelievably elegant. Love your whole ensemble,

Glad you dropped Gordon! Teach him a lesson - it will make him behave for next year!

You are a class act, baby, but careful in those shoes. Right in the middle of the second chorus of an old QUEEN hit, you could turn an ankle. You fill out the dress like the doll you are. You might find some time to give a dance to an old northwoodsman like myself. I am wearing the red Innes tartan kilt.

Thanks for stopping by today. YOUR dress is lovely, too, but the accessories really make the outfit!

Zowie. Gorgeous, and wonderful choice for your date. Poor Gordon is pouting.

Okay Yoli, so now you've really ramped up the gastronomic discussions by bringing Bourdain. Nigella is eating CHIPS from a brown paper bag in the driveway, Bourdain is dipping his FRITES into mayo, and Nigella is frantically in the kitchen whipping up POLENTA. I fear the worst! You, on the other hand are a diving guest!

LOVE those shoes!!! I've admired them from across the dance floor and been wondering where you picked up those gems.

I'm so glad you got the memo about the ball being a Black & White affair! I love the touch of lace to add an aura of mystery. I think Bourdain is a far superior date over Ramsay, even without a tux. Will you loan him out to me for one dance?

Wow Yoli you are going to the ball in style! :-)

oh you look fabulous!! Save a dance and a ride in that car for us! :)

Gorgeous! All eyes are definitely on you tonight! Wow! And your date is SO hot. Will you let me cut in?

My dear you looked beautiful....SJP was a bit jealous of those shoes :)

Winged shoes... and a spectacular entrance you will make floating on air. See you there!

You are stunning! I LOVE the shoes and your perfume has me following you around like a puppy. I'd ask for a dance, but I fear if I get that close I may lose my ability to be gentleman.

be still my heart Bourdain not only cooks but writes about it...you are one lucky lady...stunning by the way gown, winged heels and liz taylor jewels...you should lose Gordon's number and consider opening a restaurant with Mr. Bourdain or perhaps, a show ..something tells me either would be a tremendous success--kudos and enjoy the evening-c

Yoli...I was hoping that you wouldn't be tempted into bringing the "Gordon" again this year...the man is a liability at times though I have a sneeking little liking for his kitchen authorities...ooops said too much...must fly!
