Parents of would-be travellers need a letter of encouragement too: We found it difficult to let go, even if only for the better part of a year. We never breathed a word of our fears though. But in today's world the fear is greater than it was for our parents. Still, I wouldn't have missed my perigrinations 'for the world'. Literally. It does open your eyes like no webpage can.
