Child of mine

While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.
~Angela Schwindt

You are worried about seeing him spend his early years in doing nothing. What! Is it nothing to be happy? Nothing to skip, play, and run around all day long? Never in his life will he be so busy again. ~Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Emile, 1762

Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man. ~Rabindranath Tagore

Ooh Yes Yoli! We can learn much though watching children. What comes to mind is having curiosity, and not having preconceived notions. It's strange about the latter. How being judgmental can seep into a life without us knowing it. It's important to continue to learn from the eyes of a small child. Thank you friend.

Holà Yoli!
You always have the "chic" to find so beautiful quotes! and these ones about childhood especially...

J.J. Rousseau was our idol at school, for his praise of freedom of spirit (his works are usually part of the literature program in France)

ps: thanks for your suggestion Yoli. but yes, it's Faulkner.I was watching this French movie "La chamade" with the sweet Catherine Deneuve and at one point she's quoting a few lines from a novel or essay by Faulkner praising the art of contemplation, procrastination etc..so it intrigued me..!

I love those pony tails!
I'm trying hard to remind myself lately to be more like a child--loving first, doubting last, quick to believe, really seeing what is around me.
I enjoyed the quotes!
